Qatar Tourism opens trio of beach clubs as part of government vision

Qatar Tourism looks to focus on developing more premium beaches in the future

Qatar Tourism has opened West Bay Beach, B12 Beach Blub, and Doha Sands, all part of a wider mission to bolster the upmarket beach offerings in the country.

Each development has a host of amenities at each beach including, a volleyball court, a purpose-built fan zone and a food court at West Bay Beach; 600 sun loungers, water sports activities, versatile all-day dining and a children’s playground in B12 Beach Club; lastly 1,000 sun loungers, a concert stage and quick-service food outlets at Doha Sands.

Commenting on the opening, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Akbar Al Baker said: “At Qatar Tourism we continue to expand our offerings to cater to every kind of traveller, at every kind of budget. As the country strives to welcome six million visitors a year by 2030, strong additions such as this, show the world that everyone is welcome in Qatar.”

The newly inaugurated beaches fall under Qatar Tourism’s West Bay North Beach Project, which sees an extensive new development in the heart of Doha covering 40,000 square metres of premium beachfront.

The family-friendly beach club overlooks 40,000 metres of beachfront. Guests will have access to an all-day dining menu at the beach deck and an indoor restaurant, water sports and beach entertainment activities.

Ayla’s managing director, Sahl Dudin, said: “Our strategic partnership with Qatar Tourism to launch B12 Beach Club Doha in time for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 gives guests the chance to experience one of Jordan’s premier tourist destinations in the heart of Doha. B12 Beach Club is committed to elevating the guest’s experience by providing bespoke services and unique offerings to the local community, tourists, and visitors.”
