Old Temples of Jammu Need Inclusion in Tourism Map


The comrades of shri kailakh jyotish avim vedic sanathan trust (SKJAVST) insisted Rajinder Sharma,
the Mayor of Jammu, and submitted a memo to him.

They requested that old temples of Jammu to be charted on the tourism diagram of J&K.

Regarding this, R K Chibber, SKJAVST trustee, previous CEO and the Managing Director of J&K Bank and
currently the Additional Director, presented a book by Mahant Rohit Shastri, the chief of the trust to the Mayor. He spoke about the Devvani Sanskrit and social undertakings carried on by the trust.

Mr. Chibber stated that Jammu is a city of temples and renowned in the whole world. Each year, a lot of
tourists and pilgrims come to the sacred temple of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. After that, they directly visit
Kashmir for relishing the exquisite natural attractiveness of the Valley.

He also said that the holy temple of Vaishno Devi along with several other tourist attractions of Kashmir is evident on the tourism map in the UT. Other places of Jammu boast of natural splendor and holy temples are not publicized on the tourism map of Jammu and Kashmir. Mr. Chibber requested that old temples of Jammu need to be included on the tourist map of J&K.
