Boise State Beach Volleyball Announces Spring Schedule

The Boise State beach volleyball program revealed its 2023 spring schedule, head coach Allison Voigt announced, Friday.
 
The schedule features a full slate of 31 regular season matches, the most in a single season in program history. The spring season will also mark the first time the program will compete as members of the Southland Conference. The Broncos will compete in two conference tournaments during the season: a midseason tournament, March 10-11, in Houston, Texas and the Southland Conference Championship, April 21-23.
 
The Broncos will officially kick off the 10th season of Boise State beach volleyball on Feb. 24 against Colorado Mesa at the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Ariz. The team will also face off against Arizona State, Oregon and Arizona on the weekend. 
 
The second competition of the spring season has the Blue and Orange traveling to Northridge, Calif., March 4-5, where the team will face CSUN, CSU Bakersfield and Houston Christian. The match against Houston Christian will mark the first conference dual in program history.
 
Boise State will pack its bags for Houston, Texas for the third week of the campaign for the Southland Conference Midseason Tournament, March 10-11. The two-day event will feature five duals against conference opponents. The Broncos will then head to San Jose, Calif. to compete against CSU Bakersfield, Oregon, San Francisco and San Jose State, March 17-18. 
 
Following the tournament in San Jose, the team will stay in California where they open a busy slate in Long Beach Calif. against Colorado Mesa and Long Beach State, March 21. Boise State will then head to Irvine, Calif. the next day to face off against Irvine Valley College and the host school, Concordia Irvine.
 
The Broncos return home to host the Boise State Beach Classic March 31-April 1 . Arizona Christian, Oregon and Utah will be the teams traveling to Boise for the two-day event.
 
Boise State will travel to Davis, Calif., April 7-8 for three duals. The Broncos will face Liberty, Santa Clara and the host school, UC Davis on the trip.
 
The team will wrap up the regular season April 15-16 in Seattle, Wash. with duals scheduled against Oregon, Washington and Portland.
 
The 2023 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championship will take place April 21-23 in Corpus Christi, Texas. All seven Southland teams will compete in a double-elimination tournament to determine a conference champion.
 
The spring season follows a packed fall, after the NCAA permitted beach teams to compete in pairs tournaments during the fall season for the first time. The Broncos played in five pairs tournaments, including sending Rorianna Chartier and Sierra Land to the AVCA National Championship in Huntsville, Ala.
 
Voigt returns for her fifth season as the head coach of the program after leading the team to a 20-9 dual record last spring, the best record in program history.
