We are all aware of the ongoing inflation and high-cost living in the United Kingdom. There are so much news and information on how many UK residents are suffering from a living crisis for some time. Well, in between all these ups and downs in the market, travel enthusiasts are still planning out their holidays to other European cities. ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) is a travel association of UK travel agents, tour operators, and the travel sector. They recently released a study that discusses the most budget-friendly cities in Europe.
The recent study of ABTA presents that Lisbon is the most budget-friendly city in Europe for the year 2023. The capital of Portugal has the most votes to become such an affordable city to not only just explore as a tourist but also for living as well. To conduct this survey, the association selected 35 cities in Europe and Lisbon tops the chart for being the most budget-friendly city. To analyse the findings, ABTA has taken the cost to explore the cities into consideration.
It seems that the inflated market cannot diminish globetrotters’ love for travelling. This research by ABTA shows how people are willing to travel more and explore new destinations. 61 per cent of British people are set to go for an international vacation in the upcoming year, according to a report by Condé Nast Traveller.
